GOD KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING WITH YOUR LIFE

One of the things that gets me down the most is the accusing voice from Satan charging at God for neglecting me. Whenever I find myself in a mess and nothing seems to be working, prayers seems unanswered and all hope of getting help seems lost, the voice comes. 

Most especially when I see people who are not godly at all having it all together and seems to be enjoying life better than me, that creepy voice roars again. I hear words like: "God doesn't even love you', 'You think God has forgiven you? No; that's Him punishing you', 'God is good to other people except you', 'You are not worthy', 'Why do you take this Christianity too seriously?', 'Take it easy, don't be too hard on yourself'......e.t.c

It took a while for me to realise how much of these lies I had believed, and the effect it has had on my faith and trust in God. I had allowed these lies to ruin the Father-daughter relationship that God through Christ desires to have with me. What it did was take my confidence in God away gradually to the point where I could sense a spiritual disconnect. 
Praise God for the inspired word of the holy scriptures. Words of life, ever faithful, ever true. Amazing how at such times I randomly open the Bible and lo! its a timely word, speaking just directly to my situation and circumstances at the time. Now I know how powerful the word of God is because He breathed His breath heavily on the word so much that the Spirit of Him who inspired the word has also empowered it.

My sister, when was the last time you personal opened and studied a book of the Bible for yourself? Without it, the engine running your life can easily breakdown as the word is its fuel which the Holy Spirit helps you to drive with. 
Hear what Jesus said about His word: 
John 6:63 (NKJV)
"It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life."

These feelings of dryness and emptiness can only be conquered by the inspired spirit birth word of God. You may listen to motivational speakers telling you all is well, you can be whoever you want to be and so on... But you know how you truly feel inside. You know what it feels like when the hype is gone and you are by yourself alone in the four corners of your room without anyone to share with. 

Sisters! that is when God is saying 'HERE I AM WAITING'. He further said in:
Jeremiah 29:12-13 (NKJV)
"Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart."

The truth for victorious Christian living is in the word. If you do not know the word, how will you resist when that voice comes to get you down. 
It is ok and helpful to listen to Christian music, preachers and programmes, and also profitable to read Christian books. But the place of the Bible is unequalled by any other resources. That was why satan could not stand against Jesus when Jesus answered back with " It is written............." 
Until you know what is written concerning you, you are not able to spiritually fight for your right.

You may have been through or still going through terrible times right now, you may be facing attacks at work, or in your finances, you may even dread opening your mails or answering your calls due to outstandings and other stuffs going on. This is God trying to help you get rid of few little things here and there because He is moving you forward. In the midst of many bad news, God's word always speak of hope and assurance of divine help and intervention.

I have tried Him and I have found Him so faithful to His words.
God is very creative and loves to surprise us His children. You will be amazed what He is able to make out of this present situation you are battling with. One thing I found Him do always is never going against His word to show us love and mercy. 

You need to get to know your Father. You need to get acquainted with His word so that you are able to recognize His voice.

David said: 
"I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living." Psalm 27:13(NKJV)

My beloved, do not lose heart, you too will see the goodness of the Lord if you keep on trusting in Him and in His word.

Which book of the Bible are you planning to study this new month of October? May you find the word for you at this very season of your life as you read His word and meditate on it in Jesus name.

GOD! MY BIOLOGICAL CLOCK IS TICKING FAST

Sue had just visited her Mum; it was her 46^th birthday, fully single, never been married and no children. Her mum called her into her bedroom and began to sob profusely saying ‘hurry up my daughter, find anybody and give me grandchildren, I want to carry your own children before I die.’ Sue stormed out of the room, crying. She saw it coming; it has become her mother’s routine since her 35^th birthday. Her day which started with strong hope in God’s word and a few songs of praise for a preserved life has just been ruined by her mother’s sympathetic concerns.

Science has tried to convince us that a woman only has a few fertile years in her life; from after puberty, until about age 40. After that, it's harder and more dangerous to have children. Once a woman is in her late 30's, early 40's, her "biological clock" is ticking, because time's running out on her possibilty of having children. Many women have been claimed to have entered their menopausorial stage as early as age 40-45. The female fertility is said to be in decline as hence decreases the probability of getting pregnant.

This is so true of a typical modern woman but not true of a Biblical woman. Going by modern understanding of productivity, Child bearing is no longer possible after certain age. The signs are always obviously visible both medically and psychologically. Nearing these ages attracts the fear of not being able to have children hence the thought of adoption. (I am not against adopting children and not only single but married women do adopt). There is the very natural tendency to want to give up hope on any likelyhood of marriage or having children

The Biblical woman need not be afraid of her biological clock. She has a God who made her and the clock. She has Him, God who has sole authority over the chimes. The God who once came to Sarah of over 90years, made her conceive and give birth in her old age without medical complications. He did same for these other women in their older years after a long wait: Rebecca, Elizabeth, Hannah etc. 

One thing that was common to these women is that all their lateness and delays brought forth children of destiny; Children who later became very important personalities in the history of mankind. Children who even today’s world and history can never ignore.

You have to be intentional about viewing yourself as a Biblical woman whose God is never limited by Biological Clock. Whenever those thoughts or questions come about your Biological clock, be quick and confident to say that you are a Biblical Woman; you are not a scientifically modified woman.

THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH !!!

OBSERVE THE SEASON

“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven….” Eccle.3:1(NIV)

The Lord brought an event to mind as I began to write this article. Sometimes in 1988, in college, I had attended a friend’s birthday party. Suddenly, I started feeling like I should leave this party. I still remember vividly how I went out twice and came back in to the house where all my friends were. 
I asked a few if we could leave but they said ‘not yet’. I became really restless. I was enjoying it too. So, I suppressed the thought of leaving the party for the need to remain and party on, mainly because my friends were still there and I thought a few guys there were winking at me. I wanted to enjoy a bit more of the attention. 

Not long after this, the nudging to leave started again but before I could say jack, guys were breaking bottles, fights and fists were raging, we were scrambling for safety. It all became messy and I escaped by whisker from being bottle-stabbed. It was a nightmare, I hate to remember it but the memory is still as fresh as the day it happened.


I had not given my life to Christ at the time, yet God was still able to forewarn me of an impending danger. He cared so much for me that He wanted to prevent me from being at the party before the scuffle began. I didn’t know His voice; I couldn’t tell it was Him. The season of enjoyment and merriment was soon to be over and I didn’t know; I stayed on. Glory be to God who preserved my life.


When we fail to observe the season, we linger on too much in places, relationship or with people that we miss the time when our honour/life/testimony or integrity should have been preserved. Even in the face of obvious warnings, signs and doubtful convictions, we still hang on in there. 
Especially in relationships, the handwriting is written in bold that this is going no where, what do we do? We stay in, waiting to work things out, trying to fix the life of an adult for him and volunteering to be his mother. We try everything possible to keep ourselves hopeful even in the face of a hopeless situation. Isn’t it time we moved?


A lady stayed on in her job for over 15years, fifteen frustrating years, she remained in the job that stole her joy away and left her unhappy so many times. One day, she woke up and felt it was time she moved on. That was her season. She knew it, grabbed it and used it. From her baking for special occasions and children’s model toy cakes, she made in a year what she couldn’t earn in fifteen years of a paid job. She came off and launched into a new adventure just at the right time. 


Have a look at the passage and see for yourself what season you are in presently and what season you should embrace right now. Pray and ask God for the grace to discern correctly and take the bold step to switch into the right season of your life.
We often take a cursory look at Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, I think it is time we took a deeper dive into the meaning and application of these scriptures. This will reveal to us the emphasis that God has placed on us knowing and observing times and seasons. 


“There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.”

Understand the season you are in at the present moment, observe diligently the time and act appropriately. You may dial God in prayer for accurate observation and discernment of your season. 
Trust our Christ Jesus for every step you need to take all the way into your new season.

IT IS NOT SAFE SEX

Loving God! Through the saving grace and power of Christ Jesus, I pray for the spirit of understanding to fall upon this reader, your precious daughter as we share in spirit and in truth over this matter. Give clarity and understanding dear Lord and release courage to do what is right and honouring in Your sight Oh! Righteous God. Cast out every guilt and condemnation. Grant the faith to look up to you for cleansing and renew a right spirit within this life I pray in Jesus name. Amen.

Masturbation as you already know is sin. If it were not, the HolySpirit will not be convicting you. You are convicted because it grieves the Spirit in you. You are God's child. You are filled with the HolySpirit. Satan knows this, because Satan can not mess up with you spiritually, hence the attempt to mess up with your body. Doing this gives room for that accuser to have a charge against you and opens you up for moral condemnation and sexual oppression spiritually. You may have started having sex in your dreams already. So who are those strange men having sex with you? They are demons who came in when you opened the door by having sex with yourself.

That manner of sexual satisfaction is not ordained by God. It is Satan’s idea to keep us in rebellion. That's the trick. You are coming out of it in Jesus name. The blood of Jesus is capable of washing you off this sin and be renewed in Spirit.

Masturbation is full sexual act. It is you having sex with yourself. Having sex with oneself is an abomination in the eyes of God. 1Corinthians 6:18 says:
"Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."

In the Old Testament, he charged the men not to have sexual discharges except in intercourse with woman. God says if a man discharges outside that, he should be cast out, he becomes unclean. (Leviticus15). In the New Testament He calls it sexual pervasion and that it can rob us of our place in His kingdom. Jude 1:6-8.

Activities that contribute to masturbation include the choice of films you watch, the type of music you listen to and the choice of websites you browse. It also includes the type of magazines/books you read and the type conversations/company you have/keep.

Satan knows well how to keep people in sin. Satan will make you feel it is a safer way out. It is NOT. The end of that road leads to destruction. This act drains you emotionally. Sex by God was designed for pleasure in marriage to be enjoyed by man and wife. I tell you, in a loving marriage relationship, it is great pleasure and an out of this world emotional experience and enjoyment.

Masturbating also drains mentally and psychologically. Placing your mental attitude to assume you are lusting after yourself. It opens the door to the spirit of immorality and its accompanying demons to have a home in you and mess you up emotionally. When the real experience comes after marriage, masturbation may rob you of all that is included in that marriage and eventually wreck that home when your spouse is unable to find satisfaction he is longing to have. Satan comes only to steal, kill and destroy.

Also, while using all your energy to bring your body into full sexual act, you are physically overstretched and this has led many to age very quickly and have also become wrinkled at an earlier age. Satan, the deceiver is also the destroyer. You are Christs’ and hence have become a slave unto righteousness. Sin in every form should no longer have dominion over you. You are no longer under the grip and hold of Satan. Take your liberty in Christ to mature yourself unto good works of righteousness. The Light in Christ will reveal all the works of men, whether evil or good. Whatever is done in secret shall also be revealed on the mountain top. (Matthew 10:26)

You have to be intentional about your Christian life. It is an unpopular road but the safest and the most peaceful when we walk with the Lord in the light of His word. He said, "Walk in the Spirit, and you will not fulfil the lusts of the flesh." (Galatians 5:16)

When King David in the Bible fell into this secret sin of immorality hear what he said "When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, Then You knew my path. In the way in which I walk, they have secretly set a snare for me.” (Psalm 142:3) When he started to lust after Bathsheba, Satan was quick to lay a snare for him.
That is why Paul said in Galatians 5:25 “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

How do I walk in the Spirit? You know the truth about what God desires of you; allow this truth to free you. 
Don't just sit down and pray that this behaviour should go away, as you pray for grace to overcome, work towards a new and repentant road in Christ. Take decisive action about the choice of films you watch, the type of music you listen to and the choice of websites you browse, the type of magazines you read and the type of conversations you have with your friends.

Whatever habit you are trying to kill, do not feed it! All of the above listed will feed your mind with how to engage in the act. Say No prayerfully and say No physically too. You will see changes as God’s HolySpirit will be by you to help you. 
The HolySpirit is your helper and counsellor. He is always there to remind you when you're going off. Take God at His word and speak to your desires when the emotions are building up again. I did just that. I told myself, I am not doing this today, not any more, flee from me.  Even the spirit behind masturbation is able to hear the word of God and it flees when you apply the Word against it.

What I found helpful was that I started to read the Bible meditatively and Satan fled. I was too busy in the WORD, there was no spare time to indulge or stray in my thoughts. My thoughts were brought to the obedience of Christ.

I hope this speaks volume to you my dear reader. That is why we are sisters in Christ. 

This is also included in the stuffs we should be talking about. That is why the HolySpirit has laid it on me to share this.

Take God at His word and receive your freedom from this day in Jesus name. You shall no longer have sex with yourself and risk the danger of destroying your temple where the Spirit of God dwells.

Masturbation is NOT safe sex. It is sex with yourself. It is sin.
